IRATA International – International Industrial Rope Access Trade Association, is a British organization founded in the late 1980s. The organization associates all over the world companies performing work at height using rope access techniques, as well as companies providing training services in accordance with IRATA accreditation. The organization has standardized training standards and processes for obtaining accreditation, which ensures a high standard of services provided by affiliated companies and recognition gained around the world.

About training

IRATA training is addressed to anyone wishing to work at height using rope access techniques in places such as wind turbines, oil rigs, refineries, industrial plants or various types of municipal buildings.

Training based on theoretical and practical classes takes a minimum of 4 days + 1 day of exam, which is conducted by an independent assessor.

IRATA certificate

Check

After passing the exam, the IRATA office issues us a certificate in English. The certificate is
valid for 3 years, and its expiry date is specified on the certificate. This date is the last day on which a technician can take the exam for a higher level. In a situation in which our certificate is expired we can only take the training at the level we had.

Check

A technician who wants to upgrade his qualification must work for a minimum of one year after obtaining certification and have a minimum of 1,000 h of experience in working with rope access techniques, which will be recorded and confirmed in the logbook.
